I am very excited to announce that I am part of the Extreme Chase Tours Team. I would like to thank Lanny Dean for offering me a position. Lanny also brought Shane Adams on board. I look forward to working with the both of them during the 2010 chase season. If you would like to go on a storm chasing tour and witness the raw power of mother nature, go to the link below and book a tour !

June 9, 2009 Chase Vid

This vid shows some structure and some Scud Clouds lifting. There was some rotation, but most of it was very broad. This was a good test for the new vid game. I am not real happy with the quality from the upload. It looks great on the pc. Oh well, it's video I guess. The best rotation I seen, was the area I called spin (a little vortex). Not sure why I said spin....lol.

June 3, 2009 Chase

Yesterdays chase didn't produce any tornados, but I had fun none the less. Lanny Dean and I decide to chase west of Tulsa, close to I-35. The models indicated some potential, so we loaded our gear and hit the road.

As we got west of T-town we could see CU Towers going up, but they would soon die out. After further observation, we could see this would happen most of the afternoon. So we decided to wait until late evening, hoping things would pick up.

After a two hour wait, we decide to drive to a good vantage point to view anything trying to form. We watched more CU Towers going up most died out, but some of them took hold. They turned out to be multi-cell and not super cell, so we decided to take some structure shots.

Even though we busted regarding tornados, I had a great time. Thanks for taking me along Lanny !

Here are a couple of pics. I did tinker with some settings, let me know what you think.
